A vibrant love letter to the beauty of Black women and their hair

Based on Jamila Rowser and Robyn Smith’s mini comic, Wash Day Diaries includes a full color version of the original comic and expands into five interconnected short stories following four best friends through the ups and downs of their daily lives in the Bronx.

Using the wash day experience, these stories celebrate Black joy and the resilience of Black women and their relationships by sharing how they care for themselves and for each other.
